-
No, we do not offer applications. However, if you need them removed, we can for a charge.
-
Both are great options, it also depends on the condition of the client's nail bed.
-
In order to keep the integrity of your natural nail bed, we carefully remove the acrylic by using the soak and dremmel method. It can take anywhere between 30-45 minutes depending on the condition of the acrylic and sensitivity of the natural nails. We never pry acrylics off to speed up the process. If you do not plan to reapply any products on your nails, oiling and staying moisturized is the best remedy to keep your nails healthy.
-
Simply no, the work takes time to properly remove the acrylic. There is no discount offered if you are to have a full set reapplied. Visit our price page for more details.
-
After a full set, you typically won’t need another full set unless the acrylic is lifting or in poor condition due to lifestyle wear and tear. Many clients maintain their nails for years with regular backfills at each visit when you have the right nail technician.
-
We are a full-service salon and do not offer discounted pricing or alter our service descriptions.
-
These are two separate questions. Dip powder is an acrylic product. The difference lies in the application. We use the traditional acrylic method with brush and monomer.
Regarding gel, we offer soft gel services, not hard gel. Soft gel can also be applied over acrylic nails.
Prices for acrylic and gel polish services can be found here.
Gel Related FAQ
-
We prefer to use our gel polish brands that we provide because the formula of the gel polish is sensitive. Therefore, if you bring your own we cannot guarantee the 2 week wear if the formula of your gel polish was in anyway tweaked or messed with due to improper care or storage of the product.
There is no reduced price for whether or not you bring in your own nail polish. However, we do have to warn that if you are using an unknown brand of polish we are not familiar with, we can’t guarantee the length of wear and chipping.
-
The term gel nails is not specfic enough. There is hard gel and soft gel. We only provide soft gel services we do not provide hard gel or gel-x services.
-
Soft-gel is a soak-off nail polish guaranteed to last for 2-4 weeks. It strongly depends on your lifestyle Some clients can only go 2 weeks before it starts chipping, others can go longer 3-4 weeks. To make the manicure last, we recommend wearing gloves while cleaning, gardening, etc. Treat them nicely and they will last longer for you. can be applied on top of acrylic and extensions.
Hard gel is more dense and cannot be soaked-off. It requires to be filed. It can be used to extend nails and changing color out is not ideal. They provide a strong, thick layer for wear and last betwen 3-4 weeks.
-
The gel polish should not destroy your nails. It depends on the wearer or the nail technician handling your nails. Here at Peachy Nail Spot, our staff put in the best effort to handle your nails delicately and to retain the natural nail bed in the best condition as possible. The better condition your nail is in due to wear and care, the longer you will be able to prolong your gel wear.
-
First we buff off the top coat in order for the acetone to be able to penetrate through quicker. At most we will file down to reserve the base coat. Next, a cotton ball soaked in acetone is held in place with a nail clamp. We do not use tin foil to wrap nor do we soak your fingers in a bowl of acetone. This process takes approximately 10-15 minutes. Please note this time estimate is based off the product we provide. If you are coming in from a different salon who applied your gel polish it could take longer about 20-25 minutes based on the product they used.
-
No we cannot, it needs to be removed entirely. This goes for the same if you have a chip on the corner and need it touched up, we soak off that whole nail to reapply the polish. Redoing chipped nails can take approximately 10 minutes or less.
